The costumes of our opening sequence

    In the opening sequence, the costumes we decided to use are the stereotypical usual and casual high-school outfits in order to capture the feeling of being in a young adult friend group and to capture the style of how students in high school dress up of the day. For example, Mahatha will be wearing a green hoodie to express the feeling to the audience that his outfit is very comfortable and he likes being cozy when he goes out. The color green is meant to represent the envy he has between Nathaniel and Dyanna. Another example is Nathaniel wearing an all black outfit with a graphic T-shirt, wearing rings and bracelets; he is using this type of clothes to express the type of goth/emo style called the "Casual Mall Goth." Dyanna will be wearing a JROTC uniform because it will be used to represent that she is involved with a group in school that she is interested into. The accessories that will be used are computers in order to signal the audience that this part of the day is usually when students study their choice of a topic.

    Nathaniel will be wearing a style similar to this type of clothing called "Casual Mall Goth", although its the color black, it will be representing how his style feels comfortable to him and that's what he decides to use on the daily basis.

         Mahatha will be using a similar color hoodie to the one shown above in order to represent envy

Dyanna will be wearing a uniform similar to the one shown above in order to express the way she dresses
                                Laptops will be used as the props used for the opening sequence

What specific technical elements of the film opening did you like? *      I like the low key lighting of the entire video because it sets up the mysterious and sort of fearful tone of this piano player getting attacked by a threat in his car. Another thing that I liked is the camera angles for the piano. This included a close up shot of the strings, this gives a feeling of musicality and wonder as the main person we focus on is playing the instrument. The next angles that I like is a upwards tilt towards the characters face, because it show us how this person dresses as he plays the piano, and it shows how professional he is with his hobby. The next shot that I liked is the pan from our character to the mysterious and dangerous threat that is looming In the back of the car. My views on other students work on opening sequences

  Dare to Thrill      The video had lost of handheld camera movements, and lots of close up images to allow the audience to notice the characters actions such as turning on the car and raising/lowering the volume of the music. There is an establishing shot of the parking garage to allow the audience to have an idea where these teens are located and why they are there.  Lots of mid level shots are used to give the audience the illusion of being the same height as the teens and the illusion of being one of the members of the friend group. The dark atmosphere allows a sudden mood change to appear because in the beginning the emotion that the audience can feel is happiness and cheerfulness, but once the characters hear the noise in the trunk the dark lighting allows the fearful and mysterious atmosphere to smoothly and strongly cover up the previous emotion that was being used.
