Movie Rating for Transformers (2007)
The story of Transformers (2007) is a Action packed Sci-Fi movie that has a great way to explain the story of what's going on in the universe of the Transformers. The story is very organized that the audience will not get confused about why the characters of the transformers world are currently fighting in a war. The story is told to the audience right in the beginning of the movie verbally in a short summary so thew audience gets an idea, but later on is told by the character named Optimus Prime, The method the producer used to explain the story is in the form of a flashback through the perspective of the main character Optimus prime. In an overall score, I would give the story 20 points out of 20
The Camera work of the Transformers movie demonstrates only a few camera shots and angles to emphasize the action and destructive nature of these mechanical beings. The most common camera shots are handheld and low angle camera shots, these are the most commonly used because it allows the audience to "feel" small when the human cast stands next to their gigantic robotic companions. These camera shots also give an example to the audience how intense the fight scenes would be if they experienced it up close and personal. The once downside is that the handheld can sometimes be confusing due to how "violent" the movement is, therefore also disorienting the audience's vision in the process. Overall the score I would give the camera work is 15 out of 20 points.
The dialogue in the movie demonstrates very mature humor due to the movie having a pg-13 rating but the consequence is that sometimes the jokes are a hit or miss but the dialogue that is present during the actions scenes are a great addition because it's sometimes very graphic but only to the robots. It also sometimes reveals more of the story between the protagonists and the antagonists. The music present also establish that the action is increasing as the move goes on, the most effective music starts when the protagonists starts to land on planet earth. Overall I would give this section of the film a 15 out 20 mostly due to the hit or miss jokes.
The movie only has a few live actors due to the story of the movie mostly involving giant robot beings, but the live actors play their part very well especially when they express intense emotions. The voice actors for the robots have a heavy and bold tone to represent each robot having different characteristics, this is most noticeable with the main protagonists Optimus prime. This section of the movie would receive a 20 out of 20. Which means that this movie would receive a 70 out of 80 point is total
